Courses in English for exchange students

The Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry will offer the following courses in English during the academic year 2009-2010. Exchange students should use the information provided on these pages when applying as an exchange student and filling in the Learning Agreement.

Please note that some courses are taught in Finnish, but exchange students may complete the course with special arrangements (by literature exam or essay in English). Information on the courses is listed under each department.

Please note that some courses (especially practical courses and laboratory courses) have a limited number of places and in these cases the degree students of the faculty have the priority.

1 credit at the University of Helsinki equals to 1 ECTS credit.

Up-to-date information on instruction can be found in WebOodi from study guide or by search terms. You can search for courses by using the course name, its abbreviation or a five-digit registration code. If you search from the study guide, please use only the Courses in English Study Guides.

You can browse WebOodi without logging into the system, but you will not be able to register for courses prior to being admitted to the University of Helsinki as an exchange student. After your acceptance and arrival in Finland, please use Weboodi to register for the courses. For registration you need a user id and a password, which you will get after your arrival in Finland.

Most of the courses in English at the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry are organized by the Master's Degree Programmes. Please note that some courses (especially practical courses and laboratory courses) take only a limited number of students and the degree students of the faculty may have the priority.
